NAR new changes to buyer agent commission! Who pays?
This is something the entire industry is going through right now all across the country. Who will be paying the Realtor’s commission when representing YOU, the home buyer?
For as long as we have been doing real estate in this country, as far as we know, the seller has paid the commission for both the listing agent and the buyer’s agent, even though it was NEVER an obligation or required to be that way. The listing contracts state that the listing agent gets paid “X” commission from the seller, and that agent would share that commission with the agent who brought the buyer. This is no longer allowed under the new rule. So hopefully this video will shed some light on how your agent, representing you when you buy a how, will be paid and by whom.
If you have questions let me know.
What are the new rules about buyer broker commission (NAR lawsuit)?
